Writer’s Block, Raising A Son, And Being Swamped, Oh My!
I know it’s been about a week since my last blog entry. I’ve just been so swamped with work and raising a 9-month-old son that I haven’t had much time to update the new blog. Eventually, I’ll get this scheduled better so that I can have more consistent updates.
It doesn’t help that a lot of the time when I finally open up the blog to write, my brain scrambles like eggs in the morning and writer’s block sets in. Yes, folks, writer’s block is very real!
In other news, the hunt for a heavy duty or super duty truck is still ongoing. I came close to getting a 96 Chevy 3500 4-door 4×4 on Thursday, but the guy was on his way to the dealership to trade it in for a newer one and couldn’t seem to wait for me to get back from my son’s pediatrician appointment. I told him that the dealership would wait another hour, they want to sell him a new truck. Being a stickler for keeping appointments and drooling at the bit to get his new truck, I just couldn’t get him to wait.
He kept insisting I head over to close the deal asap, but I had to tell him that my son’s health is way more important than getting a truck. It was a pretty mean looking truck though.
As the wife says, “when somethings meant to be, it will be”! So, still on the hunt for a truck to slide a camper into.
(Fingers crossed that we’ll find something sooner than later.)
