All Natural Solutions

In my early twenties, I developed an allergy to Penicillin. This is what started me on my journey to find natural alternatives to man-made “junk” like medicine and hygiene products. I went to a health food store for options after a 10-day dose of sulfite antibiotics wrecked havoc on my body. They offered colloidal silver as an alternative to man-made antibiotics and I have loved using it the last 20 years. Colloidal silver can be used to treat ear infections, pink eye, a bacterial infection in the body, sinusitis and much more. My mother-in-law was amazing enough to buy me my own starter kit and now I can share this amazing product with friends and family.

Another great alternative I share with my family is homemade deodorant. Most products on the market contain aluminum and many other ingredients I cannot pronounce.  Mixing equal parts of baking soda, arrowroot powder, and coconut oil can be a healthier alternative. You can even add essential oils for a personalized scent.

Baking soda is one amazing ingredient! It can be used by itself as a shampoo, mixed with Epsom salt and essential oils for a detox bath, all natural toothpaste (have you read the back of your toothpaste tube?), an exfoliant, polishing silverware, deodorizing everything from your tennis shoes to your kitchen sink, unclogging drains, etc.

My last all natural alternative is for Pedialyte. My boys never enjoyed the taste of this product, it’s expensive, and it is another product full of ingredient’s I cannot pronounce. This product is amazing for a sick kid that needs to replace electrolytes lost due to vomiting or diarrhea, fortunately, there is a homemade version.

Recipe one

  • 1 cup hot water
  • 7 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 5 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoon gelatin mix ( Pick your kid’s favorite flavor)
Mix dry ingredient’s with hot water until dissolved and then add cold water.  This solution can be kept for three days in the refrigerator.

Let me know if you try any of the above recipes / products and how well they work for you.
