(Part 1) – Road Trip To Las Vegas, NV – Jan 2017 – Junction, Texas
I know, I’ve been slacking and haven’t posted anything on the blog in months. Honestly, I’ve just been swamped with work and life. I finally got a few minutes tonight to start rolling out some pictures and backstories for our trip to Las Vegas, Nevada to attend the 2017 NamesCon event.
Let’s get started with multi-part series and take you round trip with us on that journey. Our first stop for pictures headed to Las Vegas was in Junction, Texas.
We just wanted to pull over to stretch our legs and ended up relaxing next to a river with a man-made waterfall. The pictures I added below don’t give it justice. Once we get a camper for our truck, this will definitely be on our stop list to see again. It’s the perfect spot for some peaceful fishing and maybe a BBQ (I think I just drooled a little).
After checking out the water, we noticed a hand carved Eagle in a tree stump. It was amazing craftsmanship converting a tree into a work of art like that! (Pic below – “Dylan, Julian, & Me”)
Remind me to start taking more pictures. It seems like I never have enough.
For those that are curious, yes, Timber Wolf (Our 96′ gold F350) made the trip flawlessly like a champ providing all the safety and power we needed for hill and mountain traveling.
